Final day in the jungle
We had another excellent day in the jungle on Tuesday (our last full day at Casa Amazonas). There was an optional Yoga session before breakfast and afterwards we had the Caiman visit the Animal Shelter and the Capybaras learn about Ethno-Botany and medicinal plants. There was a chance for a swim before lunch as the temperatures were increasing. The pool has been so refreshing and a great social hub too. Then in the afternoon we had an amazing Yine ceremony led by Yenni from the Monte Salvado community. She spoke (and sang) to us in Yine language and painted everyone’s faces with the animal that they identified with (or she saw in them). It was fascinating and an amazing experience. Check out the videos below!
Then after dinner we were led in an incredible gratitude ceremony by Vanessa which involved the whole group in a large circle with one person at a time sitting on a circular woven mat surrounded by flowers and everyone ‘threw in’ gratitude, admiration and ‘gifts’ for the future. It was profound and uplifting for everyone and a great way to finish our time in in the jungle.
