Enrolling online

Our Enrolments Officer will support you through the entire enrolment process.

YEAR 7 2026 and beyond

For Year 7 2026 please register online via our dedicated portal

ALL OTHER YEAR LEVELS FOR ENROLMENT AT ANY TIME

After initial contact, you can expect to receive your enrolment offer via email after your initial enquiry. You will be provided with a code and pin to enter on this website:

https://whs-vic.compass.education/enrol/

For enrolment, we require the following supporting documentation:

  • A completed Department of Education form
    • for all year levels (except when entering Year 7 from Year 6) use this form.
    • if you are enrolling a child for the first time into the Victorian Department of Education, use this form
  • Birth certificate or certified copy of birth certificate
  • VISA documentation and copy of VISA (international students only). See eligibility requirements for international students
  • Court documentation (if applicable) eg. parenting order, informal carer statutory declaration, intervention orders
  • Medical documentation eg. asthma action plan, diabetes plan, anaphylaxis plan
  • School academic reports

Year-Round Enrolments

Wangaratta High School welcomes enrolments across all year levels throughout the school year.

To ensure we provide each student with a personalised program, enrolment interviews include

  • A tour of the school
  • A conversation about each student’s interests and strengths
  • Any specific supports that will assist the student’s transition into schooling with Wangaratta High School
  • Information about other services to support each student’s education

Enrolment Zones

Every Victorian student has a legislated right to enrol at their designated neighbourhood school (section 2.2.13 of the Act), and may be enrolled at another school subject to sufficient accommodation (section 2.2.14 of the Act).

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria. It is worth noting, however, that Wangaratta High School does enrol many students from outside its zone as there is ordinarily capacity. Please make contact if you have any concerns.

Transition to Year 7

Wangaratta High School offers a personalised and comprehensive program for all students starting out with us in Year 7.  Our Transition Program offers all incoming students the opportunity to meet their teachers for the new year as well as get to know their classmates.
